STEAM education center in Maple Valley, WA, offering hands-on science, technology, engineering, and art classes for kids ages 3–14
Description
Research shows that children learn best through hands-on experiences that allow them to explore, experiment, and create. At STEAMboat Studio in Maple Valley, WA, we provide exactly that—engaging programs that spark wonder, build problem-solving skills, and foster a lifelong love of learning across STEAM—science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Founded and directed by Kathy Gendreau, a mechanical engineer, experienced STEAM educator, and author of "Science Magic Tricks for Kids: 50 Amazing Experiments That Explode, Change Color, Glow, and More!", STEAMboat Studio offers a wide variety of engaging programs for ages 3 to 14. We provide STEAM-focused classes, camps, homeschool programs, birthday parties, and school and library programs all designed to ignite curiosity and make learning meaningful through hands-on, project-based experiences. All of our curriculum is developed in-house by Kathy and her team of professional educators, whose collective experience includes classroom teaching in art, science, physics, and engineering. Each project is thoughtfully designed to combine real-world STEAM concepts with open-ended, creative exploration. Our programs are led by trained STEAM educators who guide students through hands-on learning using the curriculum we’ve created. Whether kids are building, inventing, experimenting, or coding, they’re learning through experimentation, play, and discovery. Join us and see the difference hands-on learning makes for your child.
