Description:

All you need to greatly expand your performance skills is wrapped up into this month-long camp.  Participants will work with veteran directors to hone hand-selected songs and monologues, building an audition repertoire.  These songs and monologues will be performed with group opening and closing numbers to comprise one of three productions to be presented on the Arts HUB stage.  The second production to be performed, Working, will allow each actor to explore multiple characters in this vignette style show. Nominated for six Tony Awards, this classic has been updated for a modern age show, featuring new songs by Tony Award-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda, as well as favorites by Stephen Schwartz, Craig Carnelia, James Taylor, Micki-Grant, and more.  The final production, Disenchanted! A New Musical Comedy, High School Edition, will be the main event at the conclusion of the camp.  Disenchanted!, is a fun, irreverent comedy with the following notable awards:  ‘Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical ‘ nomination (Outer Critics Circle Awards) and ‘Best new off-Broadway Musical” nomination (Off Broadway Alliance)   Participants will be working with live musicians, which rounds out this full, targeted ‘growth as a performer’ experience. All performers will get hands-on experience developing multiple large character roles. Virtual audition prep workshop and auditions will take place prior to camp, dates and times TBA.

A parent may submit a written request for a partial tuition credit for future programming in the event of a medical emergency. Covid Policy: We will be following Boulder County Covid procedures. Masks are strongly encouraged, but not required, indoors.
