When the gifts have been shared, all the good food munched, relatives have returned home, and parents are headed back to work, and it’s time to get out of the house - kids get out to GOS Winter Camps. Minus Whatever is for kids aged 4 - 14, grouped according to age and stage.

What’s great about our Winter Break Camps:
* Gathering each morning and greeting the sun in a snowy forest
* Being outside with friends
* Tracking!  Follow fresh morning tracks and tell the story of what happened last night.  This means a bit of Find the Porcupine
* Tending fire: collect tinder, and test out your fire-making kit
* Frozen river hikes.  If the instructors allow it, experience the woods from the frozen river.  It’s the best!
* Making hot tea, roasting apples
* Making shelters
* Telling stories at main fire
* Playing Games that keep us warm and laughing (think capture the flag, but with snowballs)

Minus Whatever is a week of timeless winter fun in a community that knows that adventures are to be had in all weather.  See you out there!
