Description:

Bring in the perfect tin biscuit tin, and work on your fire kit in a community of fire tenders.

We’ll get out on the land to find shreds of white and yellow birch.
Back at camp, we’ll make charcloth and charpunk.
We’ll provide the little things: a few strike anywhere matches. Maybe some milkwood fluff if there’s some left or some shredded jute for a firestriker.

The idea is adventure with purpose, the joy of building your kit with friends, and the good feeling of preparedness ahead of a summer full of fires under the stars. As always, classic GOS games, challenges, mentorship and adventure.

Notes: GOS PD programs let you breathe easy knowing your kid is outside with caring adults who are trained to support the growth and relationship development of children and nature. Wait 'til you see their end of day smiles and hear the stories. PD Days are rain or shine. Sun, snow, gusts, and fogs, we will be out there. Please dress appropriately. Cancellation Policy for PD Camps: We ask that the first $10 of any registration be considered a deposit. A full refund (minus deposit) can be issued if you cancel with 14 days notice or more, prior to the program start date. Cancellations within 14 days of the start date of a PD Camp are non-refundable. All effort will be taken to find a replacement participant from a waitlist, should one exist, and should that be completed, then a refund less deposit will be issued. GOS is not responsible for issuing refunds when programs are cancelled due to inclement weather, or circumstances out of our control which may include provincially mandated closure of programs. If a program is cancelled due to low enrolment, tuition will be fully refundable or transferable.
