Bring your figure drawings to life with dynamic lines and movement as only we humans can do (sorry AI)! Each class will consist of learning some aspect of Fashion Illustration, viewing a technical demonstration, drawing from a live, clothed model, and then reviewing our progress. We will create a safe, supportive space for sharing our drawings for constructive discussion and feedback within the group. Above all, we will have fun. Who is this fashion illustration drawing class for? for anyone who wants to have fun drawing for those eager to explore, expand and level up their figure drawing skills for fashion designers who want to improve their illustrations Experience with figure drawing is helpful but not necessary. The class will meet weekly for 2-1/2 hours. We will be working mostly in dry mediums such as pastels, graphite sticks and vine charcoal. See the instructor for a complete supply list. No class on May 18. Model fee applies. About the Instructor: North Carolina native Nancy Ann Moore delights in expressing optimism in everything she does. Her work ranges from watercolor and drawing to needle felting, clay sculpting and murals. Her style combines realism with the ephemeral and expresses a deep love for art, fashion and her subjects which often include people, animals and nature. She holds a degree in Fashion Illustration from the Art Institute of America in Fort Lauderdale and is a member of the Chatham Artists Guild as well as the Watercolor Society of North Carolina. Her repertoire includes commissioned portraits and personal series, as well as teaching classes and illustrating events. Nancy Ann lives with her family in Chatham County.
