If you want to experiment with painting but have no idea where to begin then this workshop is for you! Here we will learn about several different art mediums for painting. There will be examples, a demonstration, and then a hands on opportunity for each medium. At the end of the workshop, you will know from your own experience what mediums you prefer to work in and why. What’s My Medium - Painting will include watercolor, inks, gouache and acrylic paints. Also, we will discuss but not sample oil painting. This workshop is ideal for beginners and anyone who is curious. All materials provided. One 2.5 hour workshop.

About the Instructor: North Carolina native, Nancy Ann Moore captures the beauty and joy of life through her diverse artistic talents. From watercolor paintings and detailed drawings to lively needle felting, clay sculptures, and sweeping murals, Nancy's work embodies a unique blend of simplicity and ethereal beauty. Her art reflects her passion for fashion and a profound appreciation for her subjects, often focusing on people, animals, and the natural world. Nancy pursued her love for art by earning a degree in fashion illustration from the Art Institute of America in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She is an active member of both the Chatham Artists Guild and the Durham Art Guild, communities that celebrate creativity and artistic excellence.
Her artistic endeavors include commissioned portraits, illustrations, sculptures and personal projects. Nancy is also dedicated to sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for art by teaching classes and workshops at the Carrboro ArtCenter and private lessons in her studio.
