Description:
Acrylic painting is limited only by the imagination. Although it is user friendly for beginners, there is enough to learn about acrylics to satiate advanced artists as well. If you have dreams of spending your free time exploring the world of colors and shapes through acrylic paint, this class is a great place to begin. Here students will learn all of the basics that are needed in order to make the most of this versatile medium. Including composition, color theory, brush strokes and basic techniques. There will be step by step instruction, time to practice what is learned and all of the patience that a beginner deserves.
About the Instructor: North Carolina native, Nancy Ann Moore captures the joy of life through her diverse artistic talents. Nancy pursued her love for art by earning an associates degree from the Art Institute of America in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She is an active member of the Chatham Artists Guild, the Watercolor Society of North Carolina and the Durham Art Guild. Her artistic endeavors include commissioned portraits, illustrations, sculptures and personal projects. Nancy is also dedicated to sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm by teaching classes in drawing and painting. She lives with her family in picturesque Chatham County, where the beauty of her surroundings continues to inspire her work daily.
