North Carolina-based Graymatter is a family band that plays acoustic music with big harmonies and a dash of rock and roll. They add a wide variety of instrumentation: acoustic 6-string and 12-string guitars, electric guitar, tenor banjo, high-strung guitar, flute, harmonica, mandolin, bodhran (Irish frame drum), and other percussion. They perform re-imagined or "graymatterized" versions of the greatest songs ever written, plus original songs written by all four members.
