Description:

Use hand tools to design and build a wooden model sailboat while learning craftsmanship and maritime tradition.

• What: A hands-on, 2-week, half-day program where students aged 10-15 build a wooden model sailboat using hand tools.

• Where: Wooden Boat Shop, next to The WaterFront Center—home of the historic CHRISTEEN oyster sloop and IDA MAY oyster dredge.

• When: Half-day session 9 AM - 12 PM

• Who: Led by an experienced shop teacher and qualified volunteers.
