What is Qigong? Qigong is an ancient Chinese mind-body practice that uses gentle movement, breath, and intention to improve health and cultivate inner calm. Yuan Qigong, created by master Yuan Tze, is a modern and accessible form of this tradition, rooted in Chinese wisdom and supported by modern science. In this beginner-friendly class, certified Ren Xue Yuan Qigong teacher Jennifer will guide you through the first Yuan Qigong methods, designed to: Improve balance, energy, and immunity Release tension and reduce stress Support emotional well-being and mental clarity Cultivate calmness, openness, and self-awareness The practice is highly adaptable—it can be done standing or sitting, accommodates all injuries or limitations, and offers benefits to everyone regardless of age, fitness level, or experience. Your instructor, Jennifer, has been teaching since 2017 and is one of over 700 certified Ren Xue teachers worldwide. She has personally benefitted from this practice, specifically with daily management of chronic pain (arthritis, sport injuries), much improved range of motion and body functionality, improvement in various health conditions, and improved surgical recovery times with less post-operation complications. She is trained to the highest level (Level 6) in Yuan Qigong and brings years of experience helping people discover health, resilience, and inner growth through this practice.

Notes: Refund deadline is Sept. 23rd 2025. Classes take place in the Collingwood Room of the Triwood Community Association building (up the stairs through the front entrance). If you're dropping in, we ask you to please come in at 5:10pm for the instructor to take you through the basics prior to the class begins at 5:30pm.
Prerequisites: Complete beginners are welcome. No equipment required, loose fitting clothing recommended. Participants must be 18+.
