Description:

Deciduous trees are defined by their seasonal cycle of losing their leaves, an adaptation that allows them to survive in cold and dry climates. They also play a critical role in the ecosystem, climate regulation, and human environments. Join Andrew Fleming, VanDusen Superintendent and expert gardener for a talk and tour exploring the wide array of deciduous trees in the garden, with an emphasis on smaller varieties that are well suited for the home garden.

The program takes place rain or shine so please dress for the weather. This tour includes walking on both paved and unpaved paths for the duration of the program.
