Description:
Dig In workshops take place outside in the Learning Garden at VanDusen Botanical Garden; led by Sangeeta Thomas, Learning Garden Coordinator, these beginner-friendly, monthly sessions cover a variety of seasonal topics to help build your gardening skills. Wondering how to prepare your garden for winter? Join us for a beginner-friendly workshop where you'll learn how to harvest, cure, and store garlic, as well as plant garlic for a successful crop next season. We'll also cover essential end-of-season garden tasks, including preparing beds for winter, improving soil health, and protecting your garden through the colder months. You'll leave with practical tips and the confidence to put your garden to bed while setting it up for a productive spring. Note: The Learning Garden is a 15-minute walk along paved and gravel trails. The garden features accessible raised beds. This outdoor workshop runs rain or shine, so please dress for the weather! Read our cancellation policy here
