Schedule:

 Saturday, September 16, 2023, 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM ,

Resource person: learn@vandusen.org

Location: VanDusen Botanical Garden - Visitor Centre

Description:

Escape the stress of the modern world and immerse yourself in the soothing tranquility of the Garden. This guided immersion isn't just a walk in the park - it's a slow and gentle journey that invites you to engage all your senses, promoting profound connections with the beautiful surroundings.

Tara will guide you through diverse plant species, inviting you to bask in the lush soundscape and fully absorb the calming power of nature. This practice, known as shinrin-yoku or forest bathing, is backed by evidence-based research indicating that it can reduce stress, increase focus and creativity, and improve sleep and overall wellness.

The session concludes with a moment of connection and reflection as we share wildcrafted tea and treats amidst the verdant beauty of the Garden.

Meet at the Visitor Centre and enter the Garden as a group. We embrace the elements, so the class operates outdoors in all weather conditions. Please register online in advance.
