Description:

Discover the art of crafting baskets and trivets from invasive English ivy!

In this hands-on experience led by Grace Nombrado, with support from Adrian Avendano, you will learn to prepare and weave ivy into your own basket or trivet to take home.

For the first hour, we'll go outside to harvest invasive ivy vines from the Garden. Come dressed for the weather in rain gear, warm layers, gardening gloves (if you have them), shoes & clothing that can get dirty. We will also have a few fleece-lined gardening gloves available to borrow.

For the second part of the class, we'll head back to the classroom and enjoy refreshments while weaving our creations.

Please note that the outdoor portion runs rain or shine. Only extreme weather will move the class fully indoors.

No experience is necessary. All materials are provided.

Read our cancellation policy here.
