Description:
In February we will look talk about Preparing Compost for Spring. Together, we will learn the many benefits of composting through stories, songs and layering our own 'compost in a jar' to take home This is an easy-going, early learning program for children ages 3-5 and their parents/caregivers. We gather in the Library (or in the courtyard outside when the weather permits) to engage with nature-themed children’s books, songs, and to explore seasonal topics with age-appropriate activities. Please email library@vandusen.org if you would like to bring along younger siblings, or check out our website for education programs for school-aged children. Similarly, please email us if you need to cancel. NOTE: ALL adults & children attending the program must be registered in advance to attend. No drop-ins.

Required age: 3 - 5 years old on the day of the activity
Notes: This program is limited to 10 families, so register early to make sure you have a spot! PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND IF ANYONE IN YOUR GROUP IS SHOWING SYMPTOMS OF COLD/FLU/ILLNESS.
Prerequisites: Children must be accompanied by an adult for this program. Supervision of children is the responsibility of the parent/caregiver at all times.
