Description:

Unlock your garden’s potential to craft cocktails, mocktails and teas. Discover the versatile flavours of fruit, flowers, leaves, and seeds that make fantastic edible syrups you can use for delightful drinks to enjoy with friends and family. During this presentation, you can taste a range of flavoured cordials from leaves, flowers, fruits and vegetables and learn about various plants’ benefits, growing and harvesting tips for your planned garden additions, and recipes for your future harvest.

Instructor’s Bio  

Laurelle Oldford-Down is a retired Landscape Designer and local apple grower with over 25 years of experience in the industry. Throughout her career, she owned and operated her own design and build company, gaining a reputation for exceptional residential plantings that captivated gardening enthusiasts from White Rock to North Vancouver. Her expertise extends to heritage and connoisseur apples, with a collection of over 100 potted and in-ground varieties rarely found in supermarkets, making her a valued member of the BC Fruit Testers Association. Laurelle's passion for sharing her knowledge led her to instruct the Fruits and Berries section for the VanDusen Master Gardeners in Vancouver. Moreover, she actively contributes to the gardening community through her writings, involvement with the Art's Nursery Home and Garden social media team, and sought-after speaking engagements, being frequently rebooked due to popular demand.

A credit will be applied to your account for cancellations with one week's notice. With less than a week's notice, no credit will be given.
