Description:
Join Sheri Ellenberger from the Vancouver Avian Research Centre to explore the top human-related causes of bird loss in the world today and what is required to save them. Our birds face significant dangers, such as pesticides, powerlines, vehicles, agriculture, glass and cats. We will examine what makes these issues especially harmful as a first step toward empowering meaningful action. We aim to spread a positive message of hope while sharing great resources to help you take action for birds, whether from home, school, or work. "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." —Margaret Mead This course will take place online, and recordings will be available for a limited time to participants. Online pre-registration is required. Photo by Tina Chin.
