This 5-session series presented by the Vancouver Avian Research Centre (VARC) is perfect for beginner and intermediate birders eager to deepen their knowledge and identification abilities. Through engaging and interactive sessions, participants will explore avian evolution, behaviour, migration, and advanced identification techniques, including tackling challenging groups like shorebirds, raptors, and gulls. Designed to be educational and fun, this course provides the tools and techniques to boost your confidence in identifying birds in your local area and beyond. Whether you're interested in citizen science programs or planning birding adventures overseas, this workshop will enrich your birding experience and broaden your understanding of the avian world. Join us to gain valuable skills, connect with fellow birders, and discover the fascinating details that make birdwatching a rewarding hobby.
