Start date: Wednesday, January 28 2026.

Schedule:

 Wednesday, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM ,

Resource person: Marina Princz, Library Coordinator at library@vandusen.org

Location: Library

Description:

Join us in January to learn about our temperate rainforest and the tallest trees at VanDusen Garden. We will explore this theme through stories, songs and by creating a “story stick” that tells the story of the beauty of where we live.

This is an easy-going, early learning program for children ages 3-5 and their parents/caregivers. We gather in the Library (or in the courtyard outside when the weather permits) to engage with nature-themed children’s books, songs, and to explore seasonal topics with age-appropriate activities.

Please email library@vandusen.org if you would like to bring along younger siblings, or check out our website for education programs for school-aged children. Similarly, please email us if you need to cancel.

NOTE: ALL adults & children attending the program must be registered in advance to attend. No drop-ins.

Available spots: Available

Price: $0.00 Taxes waived

Required age: 3 - 5 years old on the day of the activity

Notes: This program is limited to 10 families, so register early to make sure you have a spot! PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND IF ANYONE IN YOUR GROUP IS SHOWING SYMPTOMS OF COLD/FLU/ILLNESS.
