Start date: Wednesday, October 25 2023.

Schedule:

On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM

Resource person: Marina Princz, Library Coordinator at library@vandusen.org

Location: Library / Classroom Courtyard

Description:

This is an easy-going, early learning program for children ages 3-5 and their parents/caregivers. This program provides participants and their caregivers the opportunity to gather together in the Library (or in the courtyard outside when the weather permits), to engage with nature-themed children’s books, and to explore seasonal topics with age-appropriate activities.

* Older/younger siblings can be accommodated; however, the program is designed for early learners. Please send a message to library@vandusen.org if you would like to bring along younger children, or check out our website for our many garden programs aimed at older ages.

PLEASE NOTE: When signing up, make sure to register ALL members of your group (ie. ALL adults and ALL children who will attend).

The theme for October is: Veggies for Year-round Harvest (Yum! Veggies)

This month we will come together to share the wonder of growing winter vegetables through stories, songs and planting our own garlic to take home.

Available: Full

Price: $0.00 Taxes waived

Required age: 3 - 5 on the day of the activity

Notes: Supervision of children is the responsibility of the parent or caregiver at all times. In order to allow families more personal space, we are limiting this program to 10 family groupings, so register early to make sure you have a spot! Preschool Storytime sessions are free of charge, but registration of all members of your group (children and adults) is required. Please dress everyone for the weather as we sometimes hold the whole or a portion of the program outside and under cover. Warm clothing highly recommended. Please read the VBGA Covid policies before registering: • Although masks are no longer required, people are encouraged to wear them in indoor locations. • Please respect other people’s personal space, and do not attend programs or events if you or your child is ill or experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms.
