Description:

Experience VanDusen’s nocturnal wildlife on this immersive, all-ages guided bat walk led by local bat experts Brandon Weigand and Chloe Meyer. While bat sightings are not guaranteed, participants will learn about local bat species, their habitats, diets, and how they navigate the night, offering a rare, hands-on opportunity to safely connect with the world’s only flying mammal and gain a fresh perspective on these remarkable urban creatures.

Note: THIS PROGRAM IS A SEPARATE PROGRAM FROM THE VANCOUVER'S BATS: LIFE AFTER DARK IN-PERSON SPEAKER SERIES THAT WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE VISITOR CENTRE CLASSROOM FROM 7:00-8:30 PM.

THE SPEAKER SERIES WILL BE FOLLOWED BY THE BAT WALK, WHICH WILL TAKE PLACE FROM 8:45 PM TO 9:30 PM.

YOU MUST REGISTER SEPARATELY FOR BOTH PROGRAMS IF YOU WISH TO ATTEND BOTH.

SPECIAL OFFER: Register for both the Speaker Series (IN PERSON) and the Bat Walk at the same time, and receive $5 off the Bat Walk registration fee.

Notes: Please let us know if anyone from our group will be absent; PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND IF ANYONE IN YOUR GROUP IS SHOWING SYMPTOMS OF COLD/FLU/ILLNESS.

Prerequisites: Please purchase a spot for EACH participant (regardless of whether they are an adult or child). All ages welcome; best suited to children ages 5 and up. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult for this program. Supervision of children is the responsibility of parents/caregivers at all times.
