Description:
Be inspired by winter garden features such as amaryllis, snowberries, poinsettia, holly, and more as we create miniature works of art as greeting cards. Susan Pearson will demonstrate various techniques such as creating patterns, quick and simple impressions, wet on dry and wet into wet, and finely detailed realism. Some painting experience is recommended. Three watercolour paper blank cards will be provided per person. Instructor's Bio Vancouver artist Susan Pearson completed 5 years of art school. She honed her craft of watercolour skills by painting every day for tourists up at Queen Elizabeth Park during 8 seasons. Susan loves to share her knowledge of watercolour techniques. Her paintings are warm, whimsical and beautifully executed. Susan's mastery of the brushwork can achieve subtle gradations of colour and rich textures in her wide range of subject matter. Susan has been teaching for 13 years at VanDusen Gardens and private lessons. Her classes always have a waiting list as her students appreciate her warm and thoughtful ability to connect with everyone. She is also a freelance illustrator and accepts private commissions. Notes: Please note that registration will close at 4:00 p.m. PT, one business day before the series starts. Cancellation policy: No refunds will be given for education courses. A credit will be applied to your account for cancellations with one week's notice. With less than a week's notice, no credit will be given. No new credit will be issued if the cancelled course was purchased using prior credit. Program cancellation by the VBGA due to Public Health Restrictions will result in education program credit equivalent to the value lost. Credits must be used within one year from the date issued.
