Brave the Wild River: The Untold Story of Two Women Who Mapped the Botany of the Colorado River (2023) by Melissa Sevigny

In this beautiful tribute to a modern day Lewis and Clark duo, two trailblazing female botanists undertake a historic boat trip down the mighty and treacherous Colorado River and through the Grand Canyon, recording the plant life along its banks.

Join our friendly group on the second Monday of February, April, June, September and November from 1:00pm – 2:00pm. 

In September and November of 2024, we will be meeting in-person only in the Visitor Centre Classroom. Our meetings focus on an eclectic variety of topics related to plants and the natural world.
