Description:

Join Jennifer Lipka, MSc Student at the Faculty of Land and Food Systems of UBC, who has years of practical experience and will present this series suitable for beginner gardeners focused on specific and general information on perennial flowers and fruit plants.

Part 1 – Focus on flowers: why you should grow flowers, what flowers to choose for your garden from an ecological perspective and how to grow them.

Part 2 – Focus on fruit-bearing plants: what fruiting plants to grow and tips on how to do so successfully, including pruning methods and pest management.

This series incorporates engaging activities, and written notes will be shared after presentations.

This course will take place online, and recordings will be available for a limited time to participants. Pre-registration required.

For cancellations with one week's notice, a credit will be applied to your account. Less than a week's notice, no credit will be given. Program cancellation by the VBGA due to Public Health Restrictions will result in education program credit equivalent to the value lost.
