Explore the captivating world of shorebirds, an extraordinary group of birds perfectly adapted to life on the shorelines of oceans, lakes, rivers, and wetlands. Unlock the secrets to identifying these elusive avian wonders as we equip you with techniques to overcome the challenges they present. From decoding their subtle differences to observing them in large groups from afar, you'll gain the confidence to recognize and appreciate the diversity of shorebirds that grace Vancouver and the Pacific Northwest. Join us for this new 4-session online workshop presented by the Vancouver Avian Research Centre (VARC) and embark on a journey that will ignite your passion for shorebirds and leave you with a lasting love for these feathered marvels. Online pre-registration is required. Recordings will be available to participants for a limited time.

Notes: Please note that registrations will close at 4 pm on October 31. Online course log-in details will be sent 24 hours before the course date. Cancellation policy: No refunds will be given for education courses. A credit will be applied to your account for cancellations with one week's notice. With less than a week's notice, no credit will be given. No new credit will be issued if the cancelled course was purchased using prior credit. Program cancellation by the VBGA due to Public Health Restrictions will result in education program credit equivalent to the value lost. Credits must be used within one year from the date issued. Prerequisites: Educational programs are available for both members and non-members. In order to register for a class, you first need to open an account with Amilia, our online registration portal.
