Description:
Enjoy the beautiful setting of the Garden while you hone your photography skills. Melissa H. Clark will discuss the most important principles of what makes a great photograph, such as space, emphasis, rhythm, variety, and more. You will be guided through practical exercises and spend plenty of time in the Garden to practice and explore your creativity. Gain valuable input in a feedback session, and finish class feeling more confident. This workshop is suitable for beginners or advanced participants as Melissa will include technical aspects of the camera but work through the Elements and Principles of Photography. Bring your camera with a USB cable, empty memory card, user manual, and your lunch. Cell phones are fine. You can't dive into too much technical, but these classes are more about taking better compositions. To avoid troubles with RAW files in the critique session, please shoot with jpeg files. Dress for the weather, rain or shine. The class takes place in the Guides Classroom at VanDusen’s Visitor Center. Online pre-registration is required. Photo by: Melissa H. Clark
