Discover the art of rose pruning in this engaging course! Join us for a hands-on experience that will transform your garden. Led by Brent Chomicki, the mastermind behind VanDusen's Rose Garden, this course equips beginners with the skills to prune roses and other plants. Learn the dos and don'ts for modern and old garden roses, and gain valuable insights applicable to trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants. This session includes a one-hour classroom presentation followed by a pruning demonstration in the rose garden. Engage in discussions with participants before and after the demonstration. Rain or shine, dress accordingly. Pre-registration is required. Instructor's Bio: Brent Chomicki is a Trades Gardener at VanDusen Botanical Garden and has worked for the Vancouver Park Board since 2000.

Notes: Please note that registration will close at 4:00 p.m. PT, one business day before the event. Cancellation policy: No refunds will be given for education courses. A credit will be applied to your account for cancellations with one week's notice. With less than a week's notice, no credit will be given. No new credit will be issued if the cancelled course was purchased using prior credit. Program cancellation by the VBGA due to Public Health Restrictions will result in education program credit equivalent to the value lost. Credits must be used within one year from the date issued.
