Description:

In this hands-on workshop, we'll explore what to sow, harvest, and care for at this time of year, with a special focus on climate-friendly gardening practices to help get your garden through dry summer months, including efficient watering techniques, how to choose drought-tolerant plants, and how to protect and build healthy soil. Whether you're new to gardening or looking to build confidence, this session offers useful tools and hands-on experience to help you grow with the season.

Presented by Sangeeta Thomas, VBGA’s Learning Garden Coordinator, the workshop includes a walk through the garden to see real-life examples of these strategies in action, and a hands-on portion in the Learning Garden Lab, where you'll harvest, plant, and put these techniques into practice.

Note: Reaching the Learning Garden requires a 15-minute walk along paved and gravel trails.
