Outdoor Leadership provides experiences that push the youth out of their comfort zone physically and mentally, as they learn how to work together to achieve a common goal. The main activities in Outdoor Leadership are the expeditions.

In preparation for the expeditions, participants are trained in outdoor skills (such as map reading, route planning, meal planning, tents, stoves, shelters, knots, etc.) to ensure they have the tools they need to complete the expeditions. During their journey, individuals work together in their teams to navigate through the trails, cook, and stay overnight at a campsite. As participants progress through the levels, the training provided becomes more advanced and the activities more challenging.

In the outdoor leadership pillar, youth are set out of their comfort zone while working as a team to complete the hiking expeditions. Our attention is on enabling teamwork, problem solving, and conflict resolution between team members under the guidance of our counsellors. This is often their first experience in an outdoor setting where they will build the foundation for their camping knowledge.
