WILDE School Yukon
Outdoor, nature-based and experiential learning in Whitehorse, Yukon through summer camps, after-school clubs, STEAM programs, field trips and PD.
WILDE Thursdays & Wild Fridays are part-time enrichment opportunities for children to get immersed in nature and inspired about curriculum topics in Science, Art, Language Arts, PE, and Core Competencies.
Our goal is to challenge students both academically and physically. Each week of the academic year is built around a science theme. E.g., Migration, Snow Science, Wetlands, The Night Sky etc. Teachers use experiential learning strategies to ensure that learning is hands-on and impactful. This results in greater knowledge retention and skill acquisition.
This is a one-day-a-week program separated into three semesters: Fall (Semester 1), Winter (Semester 2), and Spring (Semester 3). Space is limited to 12 students/cohort.
