New class!

Get ready to hear science in action! In this hands-on class, students dive into the fascinating world of sound and electricity through a series of exciting builds, experiments, and live demonstrations. We’ll explore how sound works, “see” sound waves using tuning forks and simple tools, and uncover the secrets behind how messages travel through air and wire.
Students will build their own Morse code keyer, experiment with sending and receiving signals, and even assemble a simple radio to understand how electricity transforms into sound. Along the way, we’ll discover the surprising power of antennas, learn why ham radios can reach across cities—or around the world—and explore the important connections between electricity, vibration, and communication.
