Students will study and assemble single-speed BMX bikes, working with all their components: frame and fork, headset, stem, handlebars, seating assembly, wheels, crankset components, pedals, chain, tires, fixed gear cog, and lock ring. In doing so, students will become familiar with a variety of tools and techniques of a riding experience that embraces simplicity, as well as maintenance such as repairing a flat tire. Also included in this course, students will learn basic car care and maintenance, which will expand their knowledge of tools and techniques.

Tuition: $120/$87.60 for volunteers
