Adaptive swim lessons are specialized programs designed for individuals who face physical, cognitive, sensory, or behavioral challenges.

Adaptive swim lessons are taught as semi private lessons and are highly individualized, adapting teaching methods and environments to meet each swimmer's unique abilities and goals.

Adaptive swim lessons are lead by experienced instructors certified by Swim Angelfish.

Notes : • Please send your child to swimming lessons prepared to swim each evening, in a properly fitting swimsuit, with hair either pulled back tightly or in a swim cap and goggles. • Parent / Guardians must remain in the FCC, be present and available during your child’s swim lesson. • There will be designated spots for parents / guardians to view the swim lesson. Please refrain from engaging in conversation with your child during the swim lesson. • Children who are not fully toilet trained must wear a disposable swim diaper. If your child needs to use the restroom during class a parent / guardian must assist the swimmer to and from their class. • Only send your child to swim lessons if they are healthy… fever and vomit free. It is recommended not to feed your child a large meal just prior to swimming lessons. • The on-deck showers should be utilized prior to swimming lessons (please no soap on deck). • Please communicate with us via email at FCC-Aquatics@fishersin.gov if your child is unable to attend a swimming lesson. • The cancellation policy is as follows: 100% refund up to 13 days before start of activity 100% account credit up to 1 day before start of activity 50% account credit up to 7 days after start of activity. • More detailed information about each session will be communicated to participants after registration. Information will be sent to the email account listed during the registration process. Please provide an email that you check regularly.
