This course focuses on capturing the most individualistic part of a person - the face! In our quest to capture a likeness, students will be guided through creating studies of the head and facial features, and learn techniques for effective drawings. We will wrap up the course with a finished portrait, for which students will provide their own reference.
 

This class is a recommended prerequisite for Teaching Artist Brandon Liesen's "Realistic & Expressive Portraits in Charcoal."
