Description :
The Fiction Book Club meets in person for four lively sessions celebrating the joy of reading, promoting and encouraging fiction literature. Through open and engaging discussion, participants will explore themes, messages, and characters in a range of fiction books. The course encourages thoughtful dialogue, allowing readers to share their own perspectives while discovering new insights from others. Instructor: Patricia Trick has, for a number of years, participated in, organized, and led book clubs, including the Spring 2025 MIEC Fiction Book Club course. She brings a wealth of experience from her career in Human Resources and her work with students in post-secondary education.
Two books are pre-selected: Finding Flora by Elinor Florence and Moon Tiger by Penelope Lively. During the first session, the group will propose and choose the remaining two titles—so please come with suggestions for future readings! The first book, Finding Flora, will be discussed in January, with Moon Tiger and the additional selections scheduled by the class.
