Description

Alberta Junior Forest Warden Association(AJFWA) is building a community of citizens responsible for our environment: youth and adults who are capable, confident, and knowledgeable leaders who understand the complex relationships between wildlife, forest ecosystems and our communities. We support local parent-led clubs with leaders passionate about teaching youth the balance of responsibly enjoying and looking after our natural heritage. Families with children 6-18 learn together about ecology, forest management, outdoor bushcraft skills, and leadership. Junior Forest Warden activities focus on our 4 Pillars: Forestry, Ecology, Leadership, and Outdoor Skills. JFW helps children and youth develop skills while having fun and helping their community.
