We are excited that the weather will allow us to have the entire event outdoors!! We will have seating, but feel free to bring a chair or blanket. Join us for one of the most magical nights of the year under the open sky! CEED is teaming up with the experts from Vanderbilt Planetarium to bring you an unforgettable viewing of the Perseids Meteor Shower, one of nature’s most dazzling celestial shows.

Bring your blanket, lawn chair, and sense of wonder as we gather at the nature center to watch the sky come alive with shooting stars. Vanderbilt Planetarium educators will be on hand with telescopes, star maps, and fun facts to help you spot constellations, planets, and of course—those brilliant streaks of light from the Perseids.

Why the Perseids?
This annual meteor shower is famous for its bright, fast meteors and high activity. With dark skies and good company, it’s the perfect excuse to slow down, look up, and connect with the cosmos.
