Description

Autism Nova Scotia is a community-based organization committed to building a world where autism is understood, accepted, and all Autistic individuals can live full, meaningful lives. Our mission is to promote understanding, acceptance, and inclusion for Autistic individuals and their families through leadership, advocacy, education, training, and lifelong programming. Our work is guided by the core values of inclusion, respect, collaboration, acceptance, and courage, which shape both our daily activities and long-term initiatives. These values ensure our efforts consistently support a more inclusive province for Autistic individuals and their families. For over 20 years, we have collaborated with Autistic individuals, families, government, and community partners to advance awareness, acceptance, and meaningful supports. Our strategic priorities focus on measurable progress toward a future where Autistic Nova Scotians are supported to thrive across all stages of life. We are dedicated to ongoing community engagement, education, and advocacy that center Autistic voices and lived experience, while continuing to build a more inclusive and accepting province for everyone.
