We provide a unique overnight camping experience for Yukon kids 6-14 yrs old at our beautiful camp on the shores of Braeburn Lake.
Description
Braeburn Lake Summer Camp provides an overnight camping experience grounded in Christian values to children and youth. There may be a bit of an adjustment period, when kids come to camp. Many will have tears at drop-off (they'll miss you) and have tears when you pick them up (they'll miss all their new friends). They'll be learning to live together in a small community without many of the conveniences of modern living. eg. no flushing toilets, no showers, no internet and no power This encourages them to be kids. They learn what it takes to live in a community and that includes doing their share of the daily chores. eg. cleaning their cabin to the satisfaction of our cabin inspector, cleaning the wash house and outhouses, and doing dishes after every meal. They'll enjoy home made nutritional camp meals and learn to try some new foods in the process. They'll learn what it takes to get along with both new and old friends. They'll come home with lots of great stories and memories.
