Track & Field Tryouts | 2026 CANUSA Games

Flint, Michigan | August 7–9, 2026

The 2026 CANUSA Games will once again bring together athletes from Hamilton, Ontario and Flint, Michigan for a weekend of competition, friendship, and unforgettable memories through sport.

Track & Field athletes will compete across a wide range of running, jumping, and throwing events at the Games in Flint from August 7th to 9th, 2026. The CANUSA Games continue to provide young athletes with an exciting international experience while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and community connection.

Tryouts & Practices

Track & Field tryouts and practices will take place at the Ray Lewis Track & Field Centre on Saturdays from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM.

Please note:
There will be no sessions on May 16th and June 30th.

Events are open to both girls and boys in the following divisions:

8–9 Age Group

10–11 Age Group

12–13 Age Group

Open Events

• 80m Hurdles (Girls)
• 100m Hurdles (Boys)
• Triple Jump
• Medley Relay (4×400m, 200m, 200m, 800m)

Registration & Financial Support

Track & Field practices and tryouts are free to attend.

Once teams are selected, a registration fee will apply to participate in the 2026 CANUSA Games.

CANUSA Hamilton remains committed to making the Games accessible for all athletes. Financial assistance and scholarship opportunities will be available for families requiring support. Additional information will be shared closer to final team selections.

Billeting Information

As part of the CANUSA tradition, Flint families will host Hamilton athletes during the Games weekend.

Billeting has been a key part of the CANUSA experience for decades, helping athletes build lasting friendships while keeping the Games affordable for participating families.

Modified billeting options and hotel information will also be made available closer to the Games.

The 2026 CANUSA Games offer Track & Field athletes an incredible opportunity to compete internationally, represent their city, and create memories that last far beyond the finish line.
