CANUSA Games 2026 Tryouts – Team Hamilton

The CANUSA Games return in 2026, with Team Hamilton traveling to Flint, Michigan from August 7–9, 2026 to compete in this historic international event.

Tryouts are open to Hamilton athletes aged 8–18 who are looking to represent their city through sport, competition, and cross-border friendship. Athlete selection will be based on tryout performance, commitment to team activities, and readiness to represent Hamilton.

What to Expect

Athletes selected to Team Hamilton will:

• Compete against athletes from Flint, Michigan
• Participate in opening ceremonies and team events
• Experience a unique international competition environment
• Build lasting friendships with athletes from both cities

Billeting & Modified Billeting

Billeting is a core part of the CANUSA experience.
As the host city, Flint families are required to billet (host) a visiting Hamilton athlete during the Games. This tradition helps keep the Games affordable and creates meaningful, lifelong connections between families.

Modified Billeting Option:
Families also have the option to arrange their own accommodations. A designated hotel option will be provided on the CANUSA website for those who prefer to stay together as a family during the Games.

Fees & Registration

• A small registration fee applies only if selected to Team Hamilton
• Financial assistance and scholarships are available to ensure all athletes can participate
• Full Games registration will open after team selections are finalized

• Athletes must be available for the full duration of the Games (August 7–9, 2026)
• Participation in team practices and pre-event activities is expected
