With a structure similar to a classical ballet technique class, this Modern Dance course will include warm-up, strengthening, floor work, technique training, and movement combinations.

Movement concepts in this class are heavily inspired by a variety of Modern Dance influencers, such as Doris Humphrey, José Limon, and more.

Offering a wide foundation in Modern Dance vocabulary, this is a great chance to sample the art form and many of its variations!

Notes : Dress Code: In keeping with the tradition of Modern Dance, all students will be asked to dance barefoot or in socks when necessary. Any color or style of leotard, t-shirt, or tank top may be worn in class. Leggings or dance shorts are highly encouraged with proper athletic undergarments (this includes dance belts). Baggy clothing is not permitted; all clothing should hug the body. Hair should be pulled up and out of the face.
