Champaign Park District is committed to providing opportunities for a safe, fun, and adventurous summer through positive camp experiences for young people. Camps are designed to encourage building friendships, having new experiences, and making lasting memories. We're looking forward to another exciting summer at CPD!

Important Information to Note about Registration

Registration for all camp activities is first come, first served beginning February 10. All camp activities listed with weekly registration will require a $20 deposit for each week when choosing an installment plan, or you may choose to pay in full. Installment plans require the deposit at checkout and final payments for each week are due 10 days prior to the first day of camp. A chart of due dates for weekly camps is provided below for reference (Creative Kids Camp and Adventure Explorers only). 

Summer Camp Payment Schedule

Waitlist:

If you register your child on a waitlist and a spot becomes available, you will receive an email giving you 24 hours to register for the activity from the time the message was sent. If your camper is already in a camp for those dates, please reach out to Registration (217-398-2550) ASAP to process a transfer.

Financial Assistance:

Summer Camp Scholarships are also available for the camps listed. If you are interested in applying for a 2025 Camp Scholarship, visit: Summer Camp Scholarship Application for 2025. When applying for scholarships, applications must be completed and submitted a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to registration for review/approval in order for funds to be available when registering.  

Child Care Resource Services (CCRS):

If you expect to, or currently, receive assistance from CCRS, the $20 deposit per child per week will be required to register and save a spot. When registering for camps, choose the regular payment plan and submit your deposit. Deposits will be applied to your copay or unpaid balance CCRS does not cover, and any remaining credits will be refunded at the end of the summer as long as attendance requirements have been met for each week enrolled.

An approval letter from CCRS for Champaign Park District or payment in full will be required by 10 days before a camp begins in order for your camper to attend. You are responsible for any remaining balance after CCRS payments. Once your letter is received, payment must be made or a payment plan set up with Registration before the final payment is due for your camper to attend camp. NOTE: CCRS participants will follow a monthly copayment plan, as CCRS operates on a monthly basis rather than weekly. Co-payments for CCRS participants will be due on the following dates: May 23rd for the month of June, June 20th for the month of July, and July 20th for the month of August.

Summer Camp Cancellation/Refund Policy:

Refunds of fees paid minus the required non-refundable deposits (per child/per session) will only be given up to seven (7) days before the start of the session unless otherwise noted. No refunds will be issued once a camp session begins. Please contact the Registration Office at registration@champaignparks.org or 217-398-2550.
