Welcome to the Champaign Park District Preschool Program!

Champaign Park District is committed to providing positive and enriching learning opportunities in a safe, caring, and  fun environment! Preschool classes are designed to provide families with a variety of activities for their little learner to play, build friendships, have new experiences, and grow their independence. Our early childhood program provides diverse enriching activities designed to spark curiosity and creativity in preschoolers throughout the day. 

With flexible options, parents can choose one, two, or all three programs to create the perfect schedule that fits their family’s needs. Want to stay for the day? Pack a lunch and let your child enjoy the day of fun in a safe, supervised setting! Our caring staff ensures smooth transitions, personally escorting students from one class to the next for a seamless experience.

Registration Information:

All 2025-2026 Preschool Classes listed will require a $50 deposit to register. If you choose the monthly installment plan, your first monthly payment will be processed on August 20th, and the remaining eight payments will automatically charge on the 20th of each month September 2025-April 2026. Families are also welcome to choose to pay the $50 deposit when registering and a final balance (pay-in-full) to be due August 20th. 

Statement of Prorated Fees - For families choosing the monthly installment plan during registration, preschool class fees will be prorated based on the days missed. The total fees for the year will be adjusted accordingly and then evenly divided among the remaining months of the school year through April. This ensures an accurate payment structure based on your child’s enrollment start date.

Note: If your child is registered on a wait list and a spot becomes available, you will receive an email giving you 24 hours to register them for the class. If they are already in a class, please reach out to Registration (217-398-2550) asap to process a transfer.

Child Care Resource Services (CCRS):

If you expect to, or currently, receive assistance from CCRS (Child Care Resource Services): the $50 deposit per child will be required to register and save a spot. When registering, choose the regular 9 month payment plan and submit your deposit. Deposits will be applied to your copay or unpaid balance CCRS does not cover, and any remaining credits will be refunded at the end of the sschool year as long as attendance requirements have been met during enrollment.

An approval letter from CCRS for Champaign Park District or payment in full will be required before the school year begins in order for your child to attend. You are responsible for any remaining balance after CCRS payments. Once your letter is received, payment must be made or a payment plan set up with Registration before the final payment is due for your child to attend preschool.
