One Day Workshop with Christine Joy for the holidays! 

This coming December, Christine Joy is looking forward to teaching a new 3 hour class, in block printing! This is a lovely medium with room for great stylistic experimentation. This class is for both the beginner and the advanced. We will be creating simple designs that can be printed onto Christmas greeting cards.

Class will begin with a demonstration by Christine, and then the rest of class will be creating time for the students. In this class we will complete from start to finish our block print design and print onto our greeting cards. Christine will provide ink colors: black, green, and red. Students are welcome to bring in additional colors in block print ink to class (must be water based ink), but it is not necessary.

MATERIALS: 

-graphite pencils

-white eraser

-THICK leather gloves (very important for safety reasons)

-Two 4"x6" linoleum blocks (example below)

- Blank white or cream greeting cards 5”x7”

Optional -sketch book
