Description :
This course is to obtain an American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Certification. Provides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. Participants who successfully complete the First Aid/CPR/AED course receive an American Red Cross certificate for First Aid/CPR/AED with Epi and Asthma - valid for 2 years.
The class meets in person at the Washington Park Recreational Buliding for a duration of three (3) hours.
To successfully complete the First Aid/CPR/AED course, you must:
■ Successfully complete the online session (2-4 hours of pre-course work)
■ Attend and participate in all class sessions.
■ Actively participate in all course activities, including assuming various roles during skill practices and assessment scenarios.
■ Demonstrate competency in all required skills.
■ Successfully complete all assessment scenarios.
■ Complete a final written exam with a passing grade of 80 percent.
After enrollment in this course, you will be entered into the American Red Cross Online learning site and will get a direct link from the American Red Cross.

Notes : Blended Learning Course set up requires completion of 2-4 hours of online coursework prior to class first meeting! Course itself is taught in classroom setting. Attendance of the 3.5 hour course is mandated in full, and assessments must be passed to receive American Red Cross certification.
