(Ages 8-14) Dive into the mechanics of motion! This week-long camp is all about the fascinating world of gears. You’ll design, fabricate, and build different types of gears while learning how they transmit power in machines. Explore real-life applications of gears by building a clock. Through hands-on projects, you’ll create your own mechanical designs and gain skills in engineering, problem-solving, and fabrication. Gear up for a week of innovation and fun!

Skills Learned: Gear mechanics and power transmission principles, Design and fabrication techniques, Understanding of real-world applications in machines, Hands-on engineering and critical thinking

Skills: Coding, 3D Design & Printing, Electrical Circuits, Microcontrollers, Applied Design Process All skill levels are welcome. No experience is required. 

What to Bring: Please bring a sack lunch, water bottle, and snack daily. All other materials are provided.

Refund and Transfer Policy: Cancellations and transfer requests received at least 7 days prior to activity start date receive a full refund of activity fees, minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellations or transfers received less than 7 days prior to activity start date receive a 50% refund of activity fee, or 50% of activity fee transferred to a future program. There are no refunds for cancellations received less than 3 business days before start date. The credit card processing fee is nonrefundable.  Exceptions can be made for illness.
