(Ages 8 - 12) Did you know that working with fiber arts can help develop concentration and build self-esteem in kids? In this beginner-friendly series, we'll discover the foundations of the fiber arts. Each week we'll delve into a new project, exploring and building upon techniques and process. We might even get to meet some of Farrel-McWhirter Farm's Master Fiber Producers - THE SHEEP! All skill levels welcome!

Weekly Themes:

-Week 1: Felting Soap Bars - combine ordinary soap and colorful wool to create a functional soap bar

-Week 2: Waldorf Wool Fairies - tease and pull fleece in order while blending fibers to create whimsical wool fairies

-Week 3: Waldorf Bendy Dolls - wrap wool fleece around armatures to create classical bendy dolls

-Week 4: Dryer Ball Design - learn needle felt techniques while embellishing a pre-made dryer ball

Refund and Transfer Policy:

Cancellations and transfer requests received at least 7 days prior to activity start date receive a full refund of activity fees, minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellations or transfers received less than 7 days prior to activity start date receive a 50% refund of activity fee, or 50% of activity fee transferred to a future program. There are no refunds for cancellations received less than 3 business days before start date. The credit card processing fee is nonrefundable.  Exceptions can be made for illness.
