This 11 week, 22 class course is for all adolescent and adult students of 14 years and up. This course includes all levels from first time beginners through various degrees of black belt. These classes are held later in the evening on both Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 to 9:00 and each class is a progressive continuation of the previous class and thus attendance of both classes during each week is important to qualify for advancement.
Students in Adult Karate may advance quicker than in Family Karate or Intermediate Karate classes based on their perform and dedication.
At the end of the 11 weeks there will be a test available on the Saturday following the course for those students wishing to continue ( see test date below ). There is an extra fee of $30.00 for Beginner's rank with other rank's test fees progressively higher per rank. Upon passing this test the students will receive a new belt of the next rank and a certification, or MENJO, of that rank.
The Karate attire, which is called a Dogi, will not be required for beginners until test time at the end of the quarter.. HSKK sells the Dogi but new students may elect to get there Dogi elsewhere.
