Description :

For adults with no previous experience who want to be introduced to the rich history of American Jazz dance and music. In this 6-week course students will learn the fundamentals of Jazz vocabulary, proper body alignment and traditional movement technique. Hands-on instruction will guide students through rhythm patterns, performance theater practices, and clean isolated dance phrases.

Once completed, students will be ready for weekly Beginner Drop-In classes at the Collage Dance Center.

Required attire: Comfortable clothing and either bare feet, socks, or jazz shoes. 

Select apparel is available for purchase at the Collage Dance Center.
